On the second day of the Farnborough International Air Show, Airbus Group’s top management welcomed Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister of Defence, Patricia Adam, Chairman of the French National Defence Commission, and Laurent Collet-Billon, Chief Executive of the French Procurement Agency.
“We are committed to France, as it is not only one of our key customers, but also one our most important partners,” said Marwan Lahoud, Airbus Group Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer. “Airbus Group is the first industrial supplier for the French armed forces. Defence is part of our strategy and remains a solid industrial basis for the Group."
At the centre of the discussions during the visit, were the Airbus A330 MRTT, the most capable tanker and transporter currently on offer and in production, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), in which Airbus is the leading company in Europe.
