On 1-3 August “Antonov” Company rotated successfully goods of Ukrainian peace-keeping contingent in UN mission in Liberia by route Nikolayev-Monrovia-Nikolayev.
Within the limits of this operation the AN-124-100 “Ruslans” belonging to “Antonov Airlines” which is a subdivision of “Antonov” Company performed flights delivering four “Mi” helicopters and associated cargo with total mass to 60 tonnes in each direction. The flights were performed strictly in accordance with the schedule.
This rotation was ordered by United Nations.
Taking into account a character and total weight of the cargo as well as the required terms only the AN−124−100 “Ruslans” could perform such a transportation.
The AN−124−100 “Ruslans” is a transport airplane for transportation of oversized and super heavy cargoes on long distances that is for provision of strategic air transportations.
“Antonov” Company cooperates with United Nations for more than 20 years. Starting from 1990 by UN orders the airplanes of “Antonov Airlines” carried out more than 400 flights. All they provided transportation of necessary cargoes for peace−keeping operations in different parts of the planet.
“Antonov” Company is proud with this cooperation and hopes it will last for many years.
