BZH New York: Sailors of fregate L'Aquitaine vs Stade Brestois NY

Please join us this Saturday morning as we organize a special gala match between the sailors of French Navy Fregate L'Aquitaine and the Stade Brestois NY.

L'Aquitaine, whose home port is the city of Brest, is currently in NY on its inaugural voyage. After matches in Cuba and Virginia during their current mission they will be playing the Bretons of NY this Saturday.

BZH New York has in past years organized matches with la Jeanne D'Arc, La Belle Poule, L'Etoile and are very happy to be able to continue the tradition this Saturday. We ask that you come out and support both teams.

Time: 10:30 am on Sat 4/13
Place: Queensbridge Park, Queens (41st avenue and Vernon Blvd, F train stop is 21street in Queens)

[RP Defense]

Yesterday the Stade Brestois NY defeated 7-2 a team of sailors from French Navy Fregate, L'Aquitaine, who are stationed in NYC for a few days.


All the players were winners in a day of camaraderie and good spirit as both teams were cheered on by members of the Breton community and members of the Federation of French War Veterans.  


Special thanks to Jean-Claude of Cannelle Patisserie for the excellent treats after the game.
