SYDNEY-Cirrus Managing Director Mr. Peter Freed has announced that Cirrus has been contracted by DMO Training Aircraft Systems Program Office (TASPO), to develop and deliver to the RAAF School of
Air Warfare (SAW, East Sale) an upgrade to the Cirrus Air Combat Officer Training System (ACO-TS).
The upgraded system will provide enhanced sensor simulation, integrated team training, and improved instructor scenario/library management.
The Cirrus ACO-TS is based on Cirrus Simulation Training Network and Sensor Simulation Engine (STN & SSE) technologies which have been adapted to meet the RAAFs requirements under previous
contracts.
Mr Freed stated that "We are very pleased to have been contracted to further evolve the Cirrus ACO-TS solution and to continue our excellent relationship with TASPO and SAW. In the last six
months, the ACO-TS has proven itself in continual operational use, and it is very satisfying to see high technology indigenously developed by the Australian SME sector providing such benefit to
the ADF."
