DCS Corp announced today that the company has been awarded the Ground Vehicle Simulation Lab (GVSL) contract providing support to the US Army's Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command. It is a follow-on to a contract previously awarded to DCS in 2006.
"We are pleased to continue our work with GVSL and build on the strong relationship we have developed with TACOM. The GVSL contract and our work at the Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Command (TARDEC) provide our employee-owners with an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their technical expertise in support of the warfighter," said Dave Russell, President and Chief Operating Officer.
DCS will continue to provide systems engineering and technical support to GVSL. Under the contract, DCS will develop physics-based simulations and simulators in support of TACOM's military vehicle research, development, acquisition and life cycle management missions. The GVSL's unique motion-based simulators are used to place users, vehicle subsystems, or full vehicles in a variety of dynamic environments which accurately reproduce motion disturbances experienced during proving ground tests or field operations.
