General Dynamics has announced that their Armament and Technical Products business unit has been awarded a contract by the US Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command for the production of approximately 600 M2 heavy barrel (M2HB) machine guns. According to the company, this is the seventh delivery order awarded to General Dynamics since the company received an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract from the Army in 2009.
General Dynamics said the contract is worth $6.9 million. Production work will be completed at the General Dynamics facility in Saco, Maine. The production work for the new delivery order will be completed in the spring of 2012.
