Goodrich has been selected by Boeing to provide landing gear system maintenance services in support of the United States Air Force fleet of Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. Under the contract, Goodrich also will provide training to Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) in Ogden, Utah who will perform overhaul of C-17 landing gear systems as a Goodrich supplier.
A company statement made the announcement on 16 November 2011. The contract covers 17 complete landing gear ship sets which are operated by the United States Air Force and foreign customers. Goodrich is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Globemaster III landing gear system. It is also one of the largest landing gear overhaul maintenance suppliers in the industry.
