Military Training and Simulation Innovator Partners with Havok
SAN FRANCISCO | Havok, a leader in real-time simulation and 3D visualization technology, announces a new partnership with Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW), Europe’s leading provider of highly protected combat vehicles and a world leader in simulation technology for ground systems, serving the armed forces of more than 30 nations worldwide. The partnership will give KMW access to Havok’s portfolio of award-winning technologies, including Havok Physics, Havok Destruction, Havok Animation, Havok AI, Havok Cloth and Havok Script. The technologies will be used by KMW in an effort to enhance the quality and realism of their BatSIM®, a combat training system designed to provide operators of KMW’s tracked or wheeled combat vehicles with flexible simulation-based training resources.
“We are excited to collaborate with such an innovator of simulation and training in the Defense industry,” said Cory Kumm, Havok’s Director of Military and Simulation. “Our deep understanding of what it takes to deliver highly realistic and immersive simulation environments alongside KMW’s domain expertise and system technology we believe will bring a whole new level of realism to simulation-based training.”
KMW is already incorporating Havok’s simulation technologies as part of the BatSIM in a continued effort to bring the latest capabilities to KMW’s customers to not only meet expectations, but exceed them. Havok stands by a commitment and is in collaboration with KMW to develop interactive, high-fidelity simulation environments for the military and simulation industry, enhancing the realism, interactivity, and deliver game-quality fidelity for the most complex, large-scale training and simulation environments.
KMW will be presenting the benefits of their collaboration in the Havok booth #2527 at I/ITSEC on November 28 – December 1 in Orlando, FL.
