Elbit Systems Ltd. ("Elbit Systems") announced that Elbit Systems of America’s subsidiary, M7 Aerospace LP ("M7 Aerospace"), has been awarded a three-year contract by The Boeing Company to supply Inboard Flap Assemblies for the KC-135 Stratotanker. The contract is not in an amount that is material to Elbit Systems.
The KC-135 is a 4-engine military aircraft and the predominant United States Air Force tanker aircraft flying today. Located on the trailing edge of an aircraft’s wing, Inboard Flaps are lowered to increase lift, allowing the aircraft to fly at a lower airspeed for take-off and landing.
Elbit Systems of America President and Chief Executive Officer, Raanan Horowitz, commented, “Elbit Systems of America is pleased to provide continued support to The Boeing Company and produce an integral piece of the KC-135 through the leading manufacturing capabilities of our recently acquired subsidiary, M7 Aerospace.”
