Neuilly-sur-Seine, 27 July 2011 – Luc Vigneron, Chairman & CEO of Thales (NYSE Euronext Paris : HO) has announced a proposed evolution of the organisation of Thales's executive committee, with the addition of a Company Secretary position. The Company Secretary would be in charge, in particular, of legal affairs, currently under the responsibility of the Senior Vice President, Finance & Legal.
As part of this project, Patrice Durand, Senior Vice President, Finance & Legal, has stated his intention to leave the Group. He will cease to hold his current position on 31 August 2011.
The appointments of the Company Secretary and of the new Chief Financial Officer will both occur in the near future.
Luc Vigneron extended his warm thanks to Patrice Durand for his personal commitment and the work he has accomplished at Thales for the last six years. He wished him the best of success in his future undertakings.
As from 1 September, Patrice Durand will become Advisor to Luc Vigneron and, as such, continue to provide his assistance to the Group and ensure an orderly transition.
