SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 8 (UPI)
Radar systems at U.S. Army test ranges are to be replaced with new systems designed and manufactured by a General Dynamics C4 Systems-led team.
The initial contract for the Army's Range Radar Replacement Program is valued at $29 million. The award funds the engineering, manufacturing and development phase for the new system.
The program has a total value of $385 million if all options are exercised.
General Dynamics said, it will leverage the XSTAR family of instrumentation radars developed by STAR Dynamics for the new radar..
