Helisota, an international provider of integrated maintenance, repair and overhaul services for rotorcraft aviation, is further expanding its cooperation with European governmental operators by signing a Mi-17 technical support agreement with the Latvian National Armed Forces. The three years long agreement follows a successful conclusion of a tender announced by the Government of the Republic of Latvia in 2012.
Currently, Latvian Air Forces operate four Mil Mi-17 (Mi-8MTV-1) helicopters in transport, evacuation, support, as well as search and rescue missions. Under the latest contract, Helisota will support the Mi-17 fleet with comprehensive base maintenance services, including 100, 200, 500 flight hours checks, defect rectification, spare parts support and logistics, etc. All scheduled maintenance works will be completed at Helisota’s main technical base in Kaunas, Lithuania.
