Textron Systems Weapon & Sensor Systems, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) business, announced today its G-CLAWTM precision guided weapon successfully completed a live-fire demonstration recently at the U.S. Army’s Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. The GPS-guided G-CLAW struck within four meters of the designation spot and detonated on the target as intended, proving the weapon’s guidance, warhead and its fuzing capability.

Mardi 17 juin, Airbus Defence and Space (ADS) a profité du salon Eurosatory pour présenter son nouveau drone tactique pour répondre au futur appel d'offre de l'armée française. Le groupe européen devrait prochainement passer un accord de partenariat avec la société américaine Textron Systems afin de racheter sa plateforme de drone Shadow M2. Il s'agira ensuite pour ADS d'intégrer tous les systèmes du "Tanan", drone à voilure tournante d'Airbus, dans la plateforme afin de présenter "rapidement et pour pas cher" un drone tactique "adapté aux besoins français".

Textron Systems showcased its newly-developed Scorpion ISR light attack aircraft at the Singapore Airshow 2014, besides the Shadow M2 Tactical Unmanned System and the Aerosonde Mk 4.7 Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
Textron Systems’ Brian Feser says the Scorpion would cost USD 20 million per aircraft and has a cost per flight hour of USD 3000.

Textron Systems Corp., Textron Defense Systems, Wilmington Mass., has been awarded a $9,065,330 contract modification (P00015) to previously awarded contract FA8682-11-C-0044 for development of the remote terminal interface control document for the munitions control unit to integrate the sensor fuzed weapon on the Indian Jaguar Aircraft.
Work will be performed at Wilmington, Mass., with an expected completion date of May 15, 2014. The total modification of $9,065,330 is being obligated at time of award.
This contract involves foreign military sales.
Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity.
