GTIA AL FAROUK. After the graduation ceremony, the mission begins.

On Saturday, 21st of February 2015, at Koulikoro Training Centre, in the presence of the EUTM Mission commander, the Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs, the Chief of General Major Staff of the Army, European and international diplomatic missions and representatives of international organizations, has been organized the graduation ceremony of GTIA AL FAROUK, after 12 weeks of intensive training for the future missions.

The distinguished visitors and the audience have had the opportunity to follow a close combat demonstration sustained by the GTIA AL FAROUK personnel, instructed by the European trainers.

The commanding officer of the GTIA AL FAROUK, Lieutenant Colonel Traoré, and all its officers, NCOs and soldiers, then received the certificate for the end of training from the Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs, the Chief of General Major Staff of the Army, the EUTM Mission commander and EUTM trainers.

The ceremony concluded with a parade of GTIA AL FAROUK, which is now ready to be deployed and execute its missions in the area of responsibility.
