Boeing has placed an order for seven Harpoon missile simulators from Terma A/S. The new contract adds to previous simulator orders totaling more than $3 million, thus continuing a successful partnership and commitment to the Danish industrial base.

“Terma continues to confirm its value as a member of our global supply chain,” said Rick Cisiewski, Denmark country manager, Boeing International Strategic Partnerships. “Our relationship with Terma demonstrates our commitment to delivering an industrial program to Denmark that creates long-term partnerships and high-value jobs.”

The Harpoon Missile Simulator supports testing and training with Harpoon Command and Launch Systems based on land and on ships and submarines.

Terma also is a Boeing supplier on programs including NATO Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft, P-8A anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare aircraft, and Canadian Forces CH-147F Chinook helicopters.

“We have been working with Boeing for many years, and for the last two years we have received the Boeing Performance Excellence Award, which is issued annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance,” said Jørn Henrik Levy Rasmussen, vice president, Terma Global. “We look forward to the opportunity for further collaboration projects with Boeing in the years to come.”

Boeing has delivered more than 7,300 Harpoon and Harpoon Block II missiles to the U.S. Navy and more than 30 international military customers, including the Royal Danish Navy.
