FIRST PHOTOS: India Tests Agni-1

DRDO Statement: India's AGNI A1-06 was successfully tested from Wheeler Island at 0930 hrs on 1st Dec 2011 by an Army team. The missile was launched from a road mobile launcher system and reached its target point in the Bay of Bengal. The missile was tracked by radar, telemetry stations located along the coastline. Two Indian Navy ships located near the target point tracked the missile in its terminal phase of flight. The Agni-1 is already deployed in the Indian Armed Forces.
