BRUSSELS | Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Salamatin met with Ambassador Alexander Vershbow, Deputy Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, during the North Atlantic Council talks.
“The leaders of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization are very impressed with ambitious plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reforming,” Alexander Vershbow said, thanking Dmytro Salamatin for participation of the Ukrainian militaries in all NATO-led peacekeeping operations. “We have to do more than ever for further development of Ukraine-NATO cooperation,” he emphasized.
The NATO Deputy Secretary General has also stressed that Ukraine-NATO contacts should grow at all levels of representation.
