During the Africa Aerospace and Defence 2012 exhibition held at AFB Waterkloof between September 19 and 23, the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) conducted a capability demonstration
or 'mini war' for spectators, using a wide variety of its equipment.
Paratroops were dropped in by air and vehicles and troops were landed by Oryx and C-130 aircraft. Rooivalk combat helicopters provided air support to the troops and vehicles on the ground, which
included Ratel, Rooikat and Olifant armoured vehicles. Click
