NH-90 Helicopter Deployed To Afghanistan

NH Industries sent out this news release: Italy has deployed five NH90 Tactical Transport helicopters in Afghanistan.  Operating from Herat, the helicopters perform tactical transport missions every day. This is the first time that a nation deploys operationally the NH90 on such a difficult theatre of operations. The crews expressed their satisfaction with the performance of this new-generation helicopter in hot and high conditions. The helicopters arrived at end of August in a C17 cargo aircraft.
