Rafael has won an important tender from the Canadian National Security Bureau to provide the LIMOR, a modular, lightweight climbing and bridging ladder, to the country’s security services.
The LIMOR is intended for use in the field by military units, special police forces, firefighters, and other security personnel, and is already in operational use throughout the world.
It is composed of extremely strong composite substances, which also makes it notably light (20 kg), with fighters being able to carry it on their backs.
The ladder has a maximum length of 9 m and it can support the weight of up to three people with full combat gear. Two people can pick up, lift, and position the ladder into a climbing position within two minutes. In addition, the device can also serve as a 4 m bridge for one person to cross at a time.
