MIDS- Midlum Security and Public Order Vehicle Renault Trucks Defense

On behalf of the Ministry of the Interior, the Egyptian Defence Ministry has just ordered 18 armoured Sherpa light Scouts and 2 MIDS (Midlum Security), new armoured vehicles intended for law enforcement operations.
The new MIDS 4x2 – security and law enforcement Midlum – is designed around the Midlum truck. It offers a high level of armour protection for the 12 men transported. This vehicle was developed to enable the on-board personnel to conduct lengthy missions (large volume body) while providing them with a good picture of the tactical environment (seated facing outwards). Unlike many of its competitors in this field, the MIDS offers good manoeuvrability in an urban environment, with a turning radius of less than 14 metres, thanks to a short wheelbase. The MIDS is presented for the first time at the Milipol Paris show.

The 4-wheel drive armoured Sherpa Light Scout is intended for tactical reconnaissance, patrol and convoy escort missions. It can carry 4 or 5 men. Designed in compliance with military standards, it offers excellent mobility and robust crew protection. This vehicle is already in service in several countries.
