The European Defence Agency has launched a study to develop the European Naval Strategic Research Agenda setting the research priorities for the next 10 to 15 years. The Strategic Research Agenda will serve to provide a shared vision between governments and industry with interest in Naval Systems. As a first step, a workshop will be held in EDA on 27th and 28th of April 2011 to contribute to the technological review and assessment in the field of Naval Systems.
Participating experts from EDA Member States and industry will be split into five panels to examine technologies related to:
* surface ship platforms;
* submarine platforms;
* systems and equipment above water;
* systems and equipment UW; and
* maintenance and training.
