2012 was not a simple one for the Israeli Navy, which took part in a diversified range of complex operational activities - some overt, others covert and more distant. The nature of this activity, which combines a high degree of operational competence with operations on the high seas, away from the home base, makes the functional continuity of the operational systems a highly critical element.
