Air Force taps Rockwell Collins for KC-135 avionics support

Rockwell Collins gets contracts for Air Force KC-135 support

ATLANTA, April 17 (UPI) -- Rockwell Collins has been given two U.S. Air Force contracts for service and support of KC-135 aircraft. The first is for an avionics repair package for 4,000 line replaceable multi-mode weather radars on the service's fleet of 417 KC-135s. The contract is for one year with three one-year options.

Rockwell Collins selected for two KC-135 service and support

Rockwell Collins selected for two KC-135 service and support

Rockwell Collins has been awarded two contracts to provide service and support for the KC-135 Pacer CRAG (Compass, Radar and GPS) program. The scope of the avionics repair package consists of nearly 4,000 line replaceable units across the fleet of 417 KC-135 aircraft and will be one of the largest repair contracts in terms of volume for Rockwell Collins in its 80-year history.
