Elbit Systems and Boeing sign memorandum of understanding for marketing self-defense solutions for military aircraft in international markets

Boeing and Elbit Systems have signed a memorandum of understanding for the joint marketing of self-defense solutions for Boeing’s military aircraft in international markets.

The companies will offer Elbit Systems’ Directed Infrared Counter Measure (DIRCM) systems for a variety of the company’s fixed-wing and vertical-lift aircraft, including Apache and Apache Longbow helicopters, CH-47 Chinook helicopters, P-8 (Poseidon) aircraft and the C-17 Globemaster military aircraft.

Elbit’s family of DIRCM systems are lightweight and compact, and are designed to protect aircraft from common battlefield threats. “Boeing is partnering with pioneering firms around the world to bring advanced technology to our customers,” said Roger Krone, President of the Network & Space Systems division. “Our relationship with Elbit is an example of how we are enhancing our portfolio with innovative capabilities and create a variety of solutions.”
