From February 16-17th, Thales organised its first ever Group-wide Technodays at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. For this first edition, nearly 100 of Thales’s innovations coming from 15 countries were presented, highlighting the new developments and many different ways in which Thales is innovating to meet its customers’ needs.
Thales’s five markets were showcased: Defence, Security, Civil Aerospace, Space and Ground Transportation. Each covered a wide spectrum of innovations, from enabling technologies to System of systems.
The assessment was very positive. Close to 2000 Thales employees from around the world visited the exhibition and attended the conferences as well as around 1000 external visitors (customers, bankers, investors, financial analysis, think tanks, journalists).
Marko Erman, Senior Vice-President Research and Technology of Thales, said that “Thales TechnoDays were visited by around 900 customers, 20% of which came from foreign countries. This represents around 30 different nationalities, which demonstrates the dynamism and the recognition of our innovation capacity worldwide.” He added: “Innovation is of enormous strategic importance to the Thales Group – indeed, it is one of the three pillars of the Group’s strategy, alongside growth and performance – and underpins the continued leadership of our company in each of our five markets.”
